Hola, Rose from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I'm 45 years old. I work at Kirtland AFB as a Supply Tech/Equipment Manager managing all the equipment accounts for the AF units; prior USAF active duty, used to maintain old teletype equipment and then computers as the AF upgraded.
I'm a rather eclectic type of individual. My interests and hobbies are all over the map, but a couple of my main interests are music, photography, and the occult. I worked as a professional architectural photographer for a couple years, taught photography and darkroom classes, and also worked as a System Operator/Forum Administrator in the photography forums on Compuserve in the mid to late '90's.
As for music, I'm a classically trained musician; I've played piano, violin, guitar, and now various style drums. I love classical, but my biggest love is rock music of all variations. You'll usually see me driving along with the stereo cranked up jamming to the likes of Tool, Metallica, AC/DC, SRV, Alice-In-Chains... you name them, I most likely have some CD's from them.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I started using SETI@home in the late '90's when the first versions of the software came out. I thought it was so wonderful to be a part of the project. I've always been interested in astronomy, as well as SETI.
I forgot why I stopped using the program. I believe it was due to getting a new computer, then moving around the same time. I lost the install program, the link to the website...
I've been interested in starting with SETI@home again for a very long time, but get so busy with various things that it slips my mind to google it to see if the program is still active...
I finally did, found BOINC and SETI@home, downloaded the latest version (which is quite cool, by the way) and am back on board, processing packets of info.
I am quite pleased. :) |
