Profile: Jacqke

Personal background
I am someone who hasn't lived in one spot longer than a few years. The longest I have spent anywhere was in my first 17 years, living in Western Montana, USA. Since then I have lived in five states and in four countries outside the U.S.

Alongside that moving every few years has been a longstanding curiosity. I like seeing other places.

And for some reason, I like to vegetate in front of my computer--editing Wikipedia, and now letting my computer crunch numbers for SETI@home. I don't particularly believe that my computer will lead to contact with other civilizations. But I like being part of an effort in that direction--to look out toward places I will never be able to see for myself.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I like the idea of contributing toward a greater ideal--communication with the unknown.

I see the project as a group of the world's best people, those who still dream, and I hope they keep dreaming.
