Personal background |
I'm an anthropology/archaeology student currently living in Indiana. I'm 24, married to a wonderful husband who designs tabletop RPGs and writes fiction. We live in a 120 year old house that we're slowly renovating, and we have an adorable African pygmy hedgehog named Chouji.
When I'm not studying or working (when is that?) I love to read almost anything I can get my hands on, especially science fiction. I also enjoy writing poetry and short stories occasionally, drawing and painting, and crocheting. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I run SETI@home for a couple reasons. One is nostalgic value - I joined the project many years ago, when I discovered it on accident and had to connect via dial-up - you know, back in prehistory. I'm pleased with how far the program has progressed, and am really excited to be a part of it. The second reason is that I definitely believe intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe. Running SETI@home is my way of contributing to this search, and hopefully will help us make the greatest discovery in our species' history. |
