Hi, im DMC from Saxonia, Germany.
Whilst in principal i like the idea of providing my processing power to these projects, the hidden costs associated with them, e.g. electricity bills and trying to build a more powerfull computer all the time got the better of me.

Q: why do i run SETI@home?
A: my machines run 24/7 usually and it´s waste of energy, so they are doing at least one useful thing
