Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm not quite sure that we're going to find life out there by scanning radio waves... but hey, stranger things have happened... I believe strongly that finding life "out there" will solve all our problems... instead of bickering about who's black and who's white, who's country is better, who's religion is better... we'll get something else to think about...

We spend so much time, money and resources building weapons, armies, navies and air forces, maintaining spy agencies, etc., when we could use those resources to research and build better space exploration techniques and ships... why fight over the few hundred thousand square miles we live on when there are a trillion trillion, trillion, trillion and so on ad infinitum, ad nauseum, cubic miles out there, just waiting to be claimed...

We should transmit beams... radio, laser or otherwise... send stuff from simple 1 + 1 = 2 to more complex carbon and DNA signatures... whatever it is it has to be mathematically based... seti@home offers us a CHANCE, however small... of finding our destinies
