Started with SETI in '99... using floppies & a friends connection for access. After we got our own (dial-up) isp, had to start over but at the time SETI had a way to merge acct.s. We're now on a Hi-Speed (satellite) connection but can no longer merge acct.s... doesn't matter really as old credits were a drop in the bucket... still..
When I was a kid (maybe 12 or 13) had some sick time... couple 'o weeks. I spent the whole time reading some "electronics" catalogs my Dad had.. Tandy & so on... got hooked. A few years later I became a semi-pro musician.. did that for 25 years... still hooked...
Anyhow me & Ma are on our 3rd computer now & although I have no programming or scripting skills, they run trouble free... well mostly, might have had to find a command line or 2 to enter from time to time. Currently running an early '09 iMac w/ Vista & kubuntu running under Parallels ..
Gonna be retired next year & sure hope we get some travel time in..
