Hi --
I'm from University Place, near Tacoma, Washington - USA. I am 55, and I am disabled. I spent 14 years as an electronics technician for the U. S. Postal Service. My hobbies are electronics, computers, and photography.
I enjoy distributed computing. Generally, I like crunching for a project that has more real world application, like Rosetta@home. However, I belong to a team that is a sub-team of TeAm Anandtech, and we like to crunch for a different project every month to help raise awareness of different projects amoung members of TeAm Anandtech. I get a kick out of it. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I don't know if I agree with this SETI@home stuff; we're probably thousands of lightyears from a planet that could sustain intelligent life. Maybe we still have to try to look for them. Maybe it would be better if we found them before they find us.
