I live in Los Angeles & work for DHS/TSA. Seen some weird stuff while I was in the military - stuff that most people dont believe in. It made me wonder for a minute "is that our OWN technology? are WE that advanced? - or is this from somewhere else?". It became an obsession. So here I am... lookin for little green dudes.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SOMEONE is going to find a coherent signal from somewhere else at SOME point in time - it seems inevitible to me. I was in the Army Signal Corps for about 8 years - so it would be a little ironic if that person just happened to be me. Either way - it's going to be ONE of us and that person will probably become famous because "they found aliens" (as the newspapers will probably phrase it). But I dont think thats why any of us are here. I love watching the screen as it's analysing the signals, and the thought that I'M participating in a Search for Extraterestrial Intelligence. Imagine what someone like Galileo or Copernicus would have thought of that idea! That ANYBODY on earth can synchronize their computers with a massive distributed computing system that uploads signals coming from space in order to participate in a collective search for extraterestial life. In those days they would have probably been burned at the stake as "heretics" for even discussing the possiblity of what we're doing today.
