I am now 41 and it has been 2 years since I got involved with this program. I cannot believe how addictive it has become. The concept of sharing our resources for a project that does not get any real support, high lights how hard it is get interest from governments hell bent on economic rationalism. At least someone had the creativity to see that there are vast resources sitting idle that can be harvested!
I am a jack of many trades and a master of none. Currently I work with phone accounts for business and torture myself by not leaving the computer well enough alone. Yes, I admit it,,, I am a tweaker. Sad isn't it!
I love to inline skate since 1987, I used to teach as well. Moto GP and Superbikes are my only sporting armchair weakness. Reading has become a fovorite pastime once you discover non fiction LoL.
Being a family man hasn't turned out to be as bad as I thought, although at first it scared the crap out of me!!!

1: Does E.T. exist? By the laws of probability, yes. But, do not expect them to be like us!!! There are a myriad of base elements produced from Sun's in this universe, so how these elements would evolve with the influences in their backyard, this will provide a challenge for us to find them. We are looking using technology we understand and can measure, so, this will limit who or what we find. Maybe the Pulses or Guassians we find are created from a Silicon fungal life form that naturally gives this radiation off in huge volumes as they cover their home world.
The benefits will come from breaking down the Religious and Political strangle hold that we are God's only creations. It will bring with it the danger of splitting the peoples of this planet over idiology and power. So what is new!!! We kill, main, exploit, abuse, repress and oppress in the name of belief NOW!!!! Look at Afganistan, Iraq, Indonesia, Chile, etc!!! Ok, so the USA is mostly responsible, since the people "Cannot" control their Government:-(
2:Yes, we should advertise, oooppss!! We already have. T.V, Nuclear output, Electrical discharge and other outputs from technology and the changing rates of absorbsion from our altering atmosphere. If we do send a purpose built signal, let mathmatics based on prime numbers be the core. Keep the info tight and to the point.
3: As for Seti, the concept is simple and logical. To spread the knowledge that there are people involved in a more peaceful pursuit with technology, rather than feeding the military and their endless appetite for new toys that consume criminal amounts of money.
This activity, brings people all over the globe together in a hive style network that does not cost the Earth in more ways than one. We could extend the concept into the search for Asteroids and other Solar objects, which the governments of this world do not consider urgent.
I suppose I secretly harbour the hope that I will be the one who finds E.T, but my life does not exist for it. I am just glad to be part of t |
