I am a traffic enforcement officer for the North Port Police Department in FL. I'm in my thirties and married to a wonderful woman, who also is a LEO.
Hobbies include, astronomy, of course, computers, home theater, and salt water fish keeping. Other than that, I am really too busy with work for much else. Oh, almost forgot, big into XBOX 360, gamertag is also Strejcek. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I personally run seti@home because I would love for someone to find that life exists outside our solar system. It would be foolish for us to think that we are on the only planet with intelligent life, although in my line of work, I do not usually see the intelligent life (ha ha).
I participated in this project a few years ago, pre-BOINC, back when Windows 98 was the major OS. I upgraded my OS over the years, and forgot about SETI until I found some astronomy shows on National Geographic Channel which rekindled my interest in this. I just hope that everyone that is participating is actually making a difference in the quest for extraterrestial life. |
