Personal background
Hi to all! My nickname is ZimuT; simply because I've made my own azimutal newtonian telescope. I'm a 25 years old man from France. Im a technician in optical instrument developping.
The movie "Contact" has opened my eyes: it is possible to hear the voice of ET through the biggest ears of the planet: The Arecibo Observatoty, the VLA, or any other (radio)-telescope. Here are my hobbies: astronomy and telescope making, computer and nature.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm convinced that an extra-terestrial intelligence exists. I'm also convinced that they send -like us- waves in space. the problem is, we don't know in which direction searching and what is the frequency they are using...
My suggestion is that we would send messages at many significant frequencies to have a chance to be heared by ET. I think that they will do the same.

I have a question: would be possible to motorise and network thousands of individual satellite aerials(I'not sure of the word but you may understand me) in the world to aquire radio signal from stars? I think that it will increase resolution of the signal, but there is probably a problem of intensity...
