Personal background
I serve as the General Counsel for an international information security certification corporation. I hold a B.S. in computer science, an M.B.A., a J.D., and am working on an LL.M. in computer and telecommunication law. I am also a Civil-Law Notary, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and an Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP). I still can't believe someone is paying me to do what I love!!

I have two BEAUTIFUL daughters who (fortunately) received their beauty from my wonderful wife!

I enjoy scuba diving, working on my private pilot's license, reading, and observing and catching indigenous poisonous snakes (rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, copperheads).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home? To contribute to a program with positive global and historical significance. I'm not sure there is other life out there, but if there is, and we find it, it would be THE greatest discovery in the history of man. Many believe or worry that such a discovery would have a cataclysmic effect on religion. My relationship with the Lord God is not based upon whether extraterrestials exist or not. There are many things He has chosen not to reveal to me, this may be one of them.

I will say that this project is a phenomenal example of the power of distributed computing.
