Alien energy being, learning about the limitations of corporeal life forms.
Aspiring writer with visions of writing a Science Fiction novel (or two, or…). So far, only successful at publishing numerous technical articles relating to computers…maybe I should write about my adventures with SETI! :)
My spacecraft landed in San Diego County, and that's where I currently reside.

There is NO doubt that life exists outside of this friendly green orb, that you call Earth. How will we find it, well… it's already here! (as evidenced by the book of Vogon poetry that I found one day).
Seriously, it would be outright wrong of us to consider that life could only form on one planet. And, for those of the highly religious persuasion, don't you think it's a bit short-sighted to think that God would've only populated a single world out of the… billions and billions of planets out there (sounding something like Carl Sagan there). Come on folks, even in the event that life just "happened" on Earth, it is so wrong to think that this is the ONLY place that something could "happen."
Life is out there, but we just haven't made contact with it officially (or have we?). And, for that matter, what makes us so high and mighty to think that life will always evolve like us either…come on! I envision that there are some pretty fantastic creatures out there, not because I believe in Science Fiction (which is actually based on science fact), it's because nature is a beautiful thing. Nature can bring forth life in the harshest of environments… and, for that matter, it probably won't always be carbon based.
I certainly like to believe that there is a higher form of life watching us at this very moment. Studying us to see if we'll make it to the next century without killing each other off. Those of firm religious beliefs tend to look at things solely an "eye for and eye." Hey, if we go around poking eyes out like that, the whole world will be blind! And, look at how some countries go about these things…you killed my people, so now I'm going to kill your people…hey, this has got to stop! If there is alien life watching us, I for one am not proud of the things were showing them! Life is special and the privilege of taking it belongs to no one else but the all-mighty.
Let's find that life out there, and find it now… because I want to go home! :)
