Cuurently a System Engineer at an Insurance company.
Setting up a large serversite with connections all over the world.
Using the idle time of some servers to provide results for Seti@Home.
Further hobbies are my newly born daughter Romy, my girlfriend and my motorcycle.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes. We just haven't "found" it yet. It has to be proven though. I think eventually we will find extraterrestrial life by accident. As most things are discovered..... The benefits will be the extra knowledge and possible solutions for some of the worlds problems. I don't think it will be that dangerous because the "extraterrestrial life" will be curious for us as well.

2. Yes. I think that the information has to be send in binary code. That will be the easiest 'language' somebody can decipher and will understand.

3. I like to be part of this project and I hope that together we will find something. My view on this project is that we are only able to search according to todays technical knowledge. Maybe we are searching in the wrong place.....
