Profile: Rocky

Personal background
I'm Rocky, a guy from Alabama. I work as an on-site pc support tech for Compass Bank. I have admired astronomy ever since I learned that there was a lot of unexplored territory outside of our earth's atmosphere, I think I was 6 at the time. I started studying meteorology and did exceedingly well in mathematics, but terrible in grammar throughout my school years. I thought I was a lost cause until I got up the courage to enroll in a technical college. With open arms, they accepted me. I graduated in 3 years (3 year bachelor program) with a triple major in electronics, computer and telecommunication technology. I took the first job I was offered, wanting to change my life into something more livable and at this point I'm looking to advance further to more challenges and responsibilities.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always enjoyed looking at the stars with my scopes. I have a belief that there is no possible way we can be alone in the universe. Out of the billions and billions of stars that are even chartable, there has to be at least one place where something other than humans may inhabit. We are but a very very small portion of one solar system swallowed by an enormous galaxy. Our galaxy is one of millions known to us, how could there not be someone out there trying to locate us across the far reaches of the expanding universe?
