Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Answers to questions:

1)Yes there must be ET life out the somewhere. Honestly, are we the only intelligent life, I think not. My opinion is that Earth has met them but not alive but definitely has tracked them across our skies and in space......The benefits I hope are, a more technological future which is shared and answers for some of our modern failings on planet Earth. Dangers too could be a possibility as Earthlings have so many problems on this planet today in the 21st Century. What hope do we have in persuading ET life that we can be trusted.

2)A beacon should be sent into space and the information should be to explain Human Beings and how complex our lives can be. What we basically look like and sound like using the most used languages in the world as an example. Our planets history and position in the stars. All this information should be sent in various format, Data, music, video, radio waves, braille etc.....because after all - ET life may not see like us or hear like us.....so as many formats as possible

3)I run Seti from home because I agree with the Institute that the information received is so vast and the super computers that are used still need more help, any help in advancing the Earths future is a good one. The operation does not interfere with my social or working life - just switch the computer on and go....
