Personal background
Where to start... I was sad when the dinosaurs died; oops too far! Spent 22 years in the US Air Force. I traveled the world over spending over half of my career overseas in Europe and Asia. It was great (most of the time), and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Work, let's see how to describe it; I four wheel drive, blow stuff up, and they pay me! I actually supervise, act as a safety officer, or provide oversight at explosives remediation sites (fancy words for removing explosive items on bombing and artillery ranges). That takes me all over the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada. Hours are often long and travel is frequent. And, did I mention that I really like blowing stuff up?

I really really really love the water; maybe even more than blowing stuff up (not really, love blowing stuff up)... SCUBA diving, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, sailing, rafting, tubing, water skiing, fishing, boating, you name it. I even walk in the rain! When it's too cold or between dives a walk on the beach is kool too. Working towards getting a liveaboard sailboat, arrr.

Music, I really like almost everything but rap. Ozzie, Mozart, Jackie Evancho (young opera singer), CCR, Styx, Foreigner, Blake Shelton, Freddy Fender, Marty Robbins, Billy Currington, with some Fleetwood Mac thrown in.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm hoping that we find the ever elusive signal from out there that lets us know that we are not alone.
