Profile: John W. Hogan

Personal background
I\\'m 46, male and am currently disabled but had worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Director of Regulatory Compliance for Logistics.

The photo was taken last year and shows me about 70 pounds heavier. I've lost the 'stash and let my hair grow somewhat longer. I have Lupus and its effects have been severe but I'll take the weight loss any day.

I have been an avid \\'fan\\' of the space program since I was very young and am greatly interested in astronomy and space flight.

I love Sci-Fi (Asimov, Herbert, Heinlin, and others), watch the SciFi channel and love G4TV
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am interested in the exploration of space and all that it offers. I think this ais a marvelous way to explore space actively by just listening for signs of other intelligence.

I appreciate the fact that I can personally participate in a global effort to explore our cosmos.

I have been with this project for about five years but my totals show little time spent because every time my computer dies and is replaced I reset to zero.

Suggestions:
Stop the screen saver from bouncing around
I\\\\\\'ve had to reload winmdows and had to reload the program - any way to recover my \\\\\\'standing\\\\\\' as I had been doing BOINC for about 2 yrs prior.
