Hi,
I am Kurt and live in Belgium.I am 37 years old.
I am a dentist and one of my hobbies is astronomy and computers.
As a kid I was a very enthousiastic astronomer and every (clear) night I was watching the stars and planets.
I remember that my first view through the telescope was Jupiter and I thought I discovered a star with 4 planets around :o)) and that through a 6 cm refractor??
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm pretty sure in that immense universe there must be some form of live.
But will we be the first to discover them or are we already spotted by them and classified as not interesting enough?
We can send a beacon with the information : civilised species? come and see what you think of us...please be advised that our "civilisation is only a few thousands years old and we have a long way to go..if we ever reach the end!
Anyway.. a great project...Keep things running.
Seti is running on 5 machines and in the nearby future on 7 here.
