Profile: KathiOh!

Personal background
I'm of a fine vintage (1956), American by birth, a single woman living at the extreme top left of Washington state, literally just a few yards from the Canadian border. I am a web developer and businesswoman, terribly interested in science and astronomy, and of course, the possibility of extraterrestrial life. I spend long hours gazing at the skies, pondering the mysteries of the universe and questioning our origins. I am an explorer...given the chance, I would leave my terrestrial home behind to explore the wonders of the universe...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
How can we not think that there is life in the recesses of space? Take a good look at the richness and diversity of life on Spaceship Earth. We are but a speck, part of a much larger system we call the galaxy, and the galaxy is a small part of the universe. Star systems, planets...wandering endlessly in space. Dare we think that our puny planet is the only cradle of life?

We do not know to what level other life has evolved. It could take unimaginable forms. It could be as diverse as life on our planet. I am fervently hoping that during my lifetime we will finally find evidence of other life... hoping that someday some of these questions will be answered...
