Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home?
Cute answer is why not? But when SETI@home came about ohh so many years ago, it played into my spacy interest in anything Space.

What are my views about the project?
I am convinced that the Universe is teaming with life. But I think that intelligent life is exceedingly rare, we could very well be the only sentient race in this galaxy, and even this local galactic cluster. The basic premise, and all sort of mathematical \\\\\\"proof\\\\\\", is nothing but extrapolation of what youo want to find.

Fact is that in +4 billions years of evolution, this planet have given rise to one sentient species.

Any suggestions?
Forget about the \\\\\\"waterhole\\\\\\". Target single G2 dwarf stars between 4 and 5 billions years old, in the center of the galactic plane, and about 30.000 light years from the center of the Milky Way.

Track on ALL frequencies, invent and build the technology needed.
