Why do you run SETI@home?
To search for evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence. It is out there, and there is lots of it. Just probably not anywhere near Earth, which is going to make it very difficult to find.
What are your views about the project?
Don't give up, don't ever give up! There is a good possibility that SETI@Home will be successful during our lifetimes, and it will go down as the most important scientific pursuit in the history of this world... when it happens, everyone will remember where they were and what they were doing. If our computers were running SETI@Home on The Day we will be able to say were actual participants in the greatest event of the planet!
Any suggestions?
SETI@Home must continue to evolve, and allow us to try different approaches in the great search. We should be searching the non-logical frequencies as well because even Earth wouldn't constantly advertise itself... |
