Born in Oldham, Lancashire, England, where I attended Greenhill Grammar School and then went on to St John's College, York to train to teach English, Drama and Art/Ceramics. Retired Teacher and Financial Adviser (set up own Financial Advisory business with husband in 1985 but now retired after 17 years of hard work!), now have homes in the UK (North Lincs), France (Riviera) and Croatia (Island of Brac). Have 2 sons aged 25 and 19. Hobbies are painting, reading, listening to music, watching movies, singing (especially karaoke!), eating out, crosswords, and swimming in the sea. Favourite bands & singers: Oasis, Coldplay, Il Divo, Scissor Sisters, Keane, Carpenters, Beach Boys, Kylie Minogue, Joe Longthorne, Elton John, Barbra Streisand etc etc; favourite authors and book: Dean Koontz - Strangers and the Odd Thomas Trilogy, Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme novels, Kathy Reich's Tempe Brennan novels, Linda Fairstein's Alex Cooper novels; favourite movies: ET (of course) and Close Encounters (naturally!), Signs (definitely!)as well as Bridget Jones, Love Actually, Enemy of the State, Matrix Trilogy, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Queen, Devil Wears Prada, Artificial Intelligence etc etc. Favourite football teams Manchester United and England. Have a look at My Space and my blogs. Only just started so it's still small, but hey.....everything has to start somewhere!
Joined this project because I wanted to do something scientific and helpful to the world which normally would not be possible. I like the idea of being part of something so big, with so many others throughout the world. |
