Personal background
Lets start with my living in South Florida. I'm transplanted from Ohio, via Pennsylvania and New York. Got married in NY and divorced in Florida.

I've worked in Electronics for 40+ years off and on and done everything from teach swimming to help put man back into space. Yep, that puts me into my 60's and with grey hair. Earned every single one of them.

I've been a technical writer, photographer, CAD designer, technician and project manager. I've worked every frequency from DC to Daylight. I love my work and enjoy teaching people what I've learned the hard way.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I started SETI back when it was a screensaver. I think in the late 80's or early 90's. I know I've been running it well before the 2006 they show on this page.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to go to Puerto Rico and actually visit the Telescope at Arecibo. It was a breathtaking sight even on a rainy, drizzly day.

This project requires an open mind. I cannot say whether or not we will find life out there, but we MUST NOT lock ourselves into believing that there CANNOT be other life in our universe.

I don't have the greatest or fastest or most powerful computer, but with each of us contributing just a little bit, much can be done.

As for suggestions, keep up the good work.
