- My name is Daniel and I am from Romania. I'm 20 years old and I'm a student at the University of Politehnics.
- I hope I'll work for NASA one day and go into space. My dream is to become an astronaut and be the first man on Mars (this is almost SCI-Fi ...but you never know). I know that NASA has almost nothing in common with SETI, but the search for ET life fascinates me.
- I am sure that we are not alone in the Universe. It is impossible for Earth to be the only planet with life in this vast space. It has been demonstrated that there was liquid water on Mars. So I am asking you a question: if even a planet in our solar sistem (different from Earth) had water on the surface (so there was life on it), isn't that obvious that in this endless space there are an infinite number of intelligent life forms ? The answer is very simple and you know it. It's only a matter of time until we receive a signal or we make the first contact ...in my opinion a very very very long time. Or maybe not ? Are there ET on Earth ? There are a lot of clips with "flying saucers" or something like that all over the world. But where do they came from ? Are there real aliens on Earth or just fake videos ? Let's consider that they are real. But if they really exist, what do they want ? And why aren't they trying to make the first contact with us ? What are they waiting ??? Are they just a very shy life form or are they studying us and planning something ...maybe an invasion, an attack ? I don't believe that. That's just not a very plausible explanation. I just hope that when the time comes to make the first contact, we'll be prepared and the technology will be more advanced than it is today. Till then, I can just process the data from SETI@HOME and hope that we're not far away from a new stage of our evolution.
