Personal background
Im a 19 year old college student currently attending Bridgewater College in Virginia. Do a little bit of everything when it comes down to it, but I tend to get the most enjoyment out of harrassing the other students at my college.. It's a conservative christian school, so someone who happens to believe that there might be life out there somewhere is frowned upon in discussion - nothing more fun than screwing with people and attacking the core beliefs by suggesting things that they have honestly never thought about before.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is one of the most important scientific projects currently going on in my mind, finding other life in the universe has more possible benefits than anything else we could possible conceive of on our own. Hell, all of us rediculed peoples just being able to say "HA" right in the faces of all the closed minded people that have scowled at us over the years would make this program worth every penny.
