Personal background
I have been into electronics and computers for over fifteen years. I have been an astronomy buff for a lot longer. I am currently an IT consultant providing systems engineering support as well as development in C# and asp.Net.

I enjoy reading immensely and always find myself behind my reading by one or two works.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Though I may be aging myself by admitting this, I was saddened the day I heard the original SETI project was going to be shut down. While I understood why it was not being funded anymore, I could not deny that it had a rather exciting possibility. This is why I was quite happy to hear a few years later that it was being rejuvenated by the SETI@home project a little later.

Now, I am not only happy that it is still alive, I can finally (did not have broadband until recently) actually play a part in something that may or not make history. But whatever the outcome, it's all for science.
