There has to be life outside of our area of space. It would be single minded to think we were the only people alive in such a vast area of space.
We have more than likley already been discovered, by the amount of UFO sightings around the time of neuclear testing and jet propulsion.
It is always a danger bringing two cultures together, I don't think we are ready for first contact for a long time, as we can't get on with ourselves at the moment, so what chance would we stand with another race.
We should transmit a beacon for others to find us, and it should read "HELP". If we can't mediate our own society, prehaps someone else could.
I run SETI on my home system to try and do my bit for the discovery of others. |
