Personal background
I’m a graphic designer & multimedia designer. My interest in this site related to my interests in space. I’m a major nut on the topic ranging form astrophysics to aerospace engineering. Other interests are anime and music.
Living in the US I personally think Americans need to realize the importance of the space program. It’s helped more industries and spanned the creation of many products. Most people, id bet, don’t even realize how many products they take for granted every day are related to the space program. This you might say ignorance & lack of interest is dooming our progress in space. Not to mention how political the whole is when it shouldn’t be. On the bright side it’s nice to see NASA designing the next space vehicle to replace the shuttle. Not to mention the recent increase in satellites exploring our solar system.
Still it would be nice to see more cooperation between NASA and other business & countries. Look at Space Ship One, a small company sent a human into space and spent pocket change in comparison to what NASA would spend.

Oh well, my dreams of personally traveling in space sometimes overtake me and I go off on what you see above. I guess its time to start saving money and pray for Virgin Galactic to get off to a good start.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I can’t express in words how wonderful it is to see this project doing as well as it is. Hopefully it will continue to be as if not more successful in the future. I only wish that I had more computers to help out.
