Personal background
Hi, I'm a graphic designer from Hamburg, Germany. http://www.designiac.de
I'm pushing pixels, vectors, polygons, codes and letters. I like all sorts of creative work.
When I play guitar and therefor my computer is idle, boinc is allowed to use all resources of my computer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm running SETI@home because I'm sure that there are quite a few civilizations out there.
I could imagine that we are too primitive, too brutal and unintelligent for advanced extraterrestrial beings. So assumed they could contact us, they might don't want to.
I like the Drake Equation.
I believe that extraterrestrial life could based on alternative biochemistries.

... by the way the answer is 42.

"It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination."
- Douglas Adams

Suggestions for SETI@home:
the screen-saver/graphics is ugly. Please make more modern and more editable.
It would be great, if it would look like a future user interface. #FUI
Thanks.
