Personal background
I'm English but moved to Belgium in 1999 when I got an interesting job offer and I'm still here. Not only that but I met my Danish wife in Brussels and now we have three kids and a huge mortgage, I guess I'm here to stay :-)

I have an IT background but I moved into management of both projects and peope, right now I'm a program/process manager for some telecommunications projects in the DSL arena. I play bass guitar in a couple of bands, write music review for www.dprp.net, play chess and enjoy a good read.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I first started to run SETI back when the project first started but lost track of it after a few years. Now I'm back with Apple Mac's and havign a lot of fun - I even bought a quad processor machine partly to get myself 'up there'.

I've always been deeply interested in the universe, physics, philosophy and the general big questions that keep us awake a night - being involved in SETI is a real no-brainer for me, it's a chance to really discover something incredible.

I don't understand why SETI isn't more adequately funded by governments, I suppose climate change is all the rage these days though...
