| My name is Kristina Lynn Berry (neé Turner) and I was born in San Pablo, California, USA. I live in Eastpointe, Michigan, USA with my husband and step-daughter. We have pets: two cats and a dog. I work as a title insurance examiner and enjoy movies, books, television, golf and sometimes watching some sports like football, basketball and hockey. I can trace my ancestry back to about 1700 when a young man from England came to this country with the Hugoenauts by ship at the age of 16, and settled in what is now South Carolina. I like to think that if we ever find a way to colonize other worlds in the universe, that future members of my family will have his brave spirit and set out in search of a better way of life. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I decided to participate in SETI@home because I like the idea that my computer can serve a higher purpose. I feel like I am part of an exploration. I think that we have an obligation to look outwards and acknowledge the vastness of the universe around us and the fact that we are a tiny speck on a dust particle, and not the center of the universe as we tend to think of ourselves. We have the ability to question and ponder and learn and should make the most of that ability. |
