Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
Of course
If so, when and how will humans discover it?
dont know really... dont think anyone can answer this but i hope it happen in my life time.
What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
i see more benefits than dangers, we as a planet going to become more and more united and maybe we gonna stop calling us afrincans, americans or europeans we just gonna be humans, benefits in medicine, tecnology and millions of things we just cant imagine... but im afraid that maybe judging the way we react all those beneficts we going to start looking how to take it against us...
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?

Exelent idea, great job/results can be expected with a relative low budget
Suggestions. an Achedule will be really handy for those like me who never turn of the computer and will like to give more bandwith and more proccesing power to the proyect between 1am and 7am just to make an example.
