| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Why do I run SETI@home? Three main reasons:
1. The idea that in our vast cosmos, this little planet we're on is the only one to have developed intelligent life is of course ludicrous.
2. I can spare the computer power. For an old-time user like myself (who started out on a 16mhz machine!), my current 1ghz computer is insane.
3. It's neat to be part of a project like this. Talk about your power of the people! |
