Personal background
I am 40 years old (just, but sort of enjoying it), english male living with my girlfriend just outside Paris. We met in Dubai working on a trade show in 1997 and have been together for 6 years. We have a 2 year old girl, Sacha, who is just fantastic. Never a dull moment when she is around.

I like to relax, have fun, eat good food and dream. I have a deep interest (not satiated by the amount of time I can consecrate to it) in the universe. Where we came from, how it started, the paradoxes that exist and the incredibly minute chance we are alone in all this time, space and other stuff.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe ET life exists. I can't understand the possibility that we are alone. I even believe we have been visited before and it formed/started/influenced the progression of this planet. I guess I mean we won't discover the ET life out there, it has already discovered us. It may be waiting to come back when we are ready.

Being the case, the main benefits in meeting them would be social and intellectual.

I believe we should transmit a beacon. It should be clear and unambiguous enough to show we are here, we seek and are ready for contact and we will accept an answer.

The Photo is of my daughter and I recently on holiday in Tunisia. 2 1/2 years old and she wants to discover everything.
