Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I do think that ET life exists. It is impossible that we are alone in such a vast universe. I can't tell when alien live will be discovered, but i believe that the SETI project is the most accurate way to find out in a scientific way. There will be benefits and dangers that at this moment we cannot determine. I think this is a question that allows me only to do one comentary: it will be the most incredible achievement in science and mankind history.

2. Yes. I am not a science guru, but in my humble opinion, humans should send information in mathematical language because this is probably the only universal language.

3. My good friend Ricardo Schiappa also runs SETI@home, he was the one who told me about this possibility. I run it, because for the first time in my live, i feel that i am giving a humble contribute to science. And this is one of the most important things i have made so far.
I first heard about SETI in Carl Sagan's "Contact". I have admired this project ever since. To become a part of it is a true privilege.
I don't have suggestions for the moment, but one request: when all the work is done, pleasa let know about any other ways to help you or to help other scientific projects in any area.

Sincerely,

Miguel Morgado.
