| The significant details of my life: I am a full-time student, returning after a hiatus, a computer science major at Florida Atlantic Univrsity. I live in sunny (and hot!) West Palm Beach, FL, with my wife of 1.5 years. In our spare time my wife and I enjoy running and we always seem to be in training for our next marathon. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I think it is statistically impossible for humans to be the only intelligent life in the universe, but i don't know if or when we will ever, positively, identify other life. Even if we do find other life there is no telling if we will be, cognitively or physically, able to communicate, but I suppose that is a question for the philosophers and linguists. For now we can satisfy ourselves with the search, and as a bonus the SETI@home project gives our computers something to do while we are out or sleeping. I for one sleep better knowing millions of computers the world over are being kept busy and away from the temptations of the mean streets, don't you? |
