My name is Ariston Collander. I am an avid fan of physics and computers. I currently work with DSL order placement and installation. I am pursuing a CCNA certification in order to increase my pay and my experience.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I wholeheartedly believe that extraterrestrial life exists and is simply waiting for us to answer the calls they have been sending. As for when humans will find them, who knows. I think they will find us first. There are many dangers and benefits involved in discovering a new species of life and intelligence. All we can do is take each one objectively and hope for the best. I do believe the humans should send out a beacon for others to find. The whole point of communication is to open the door.
I love SETI@Home. It makes me feel a part of something much bigger. A project that spans the globe in search of some other form of intelligence that proves that we are not alone.
