I have been in the U.S. Navy for over 17 years. I work on the AEGIS system and love it. My wife thinks I am wasting electricity doing this. My two kids are too young to understand what we are bickering about. I think Hamburgers are the best food ever. I wish I had a super computer to beat everybody else, but I don't know how to build it. I have lived in Japan for 9.5 years and I am now in Jacksonville, Florida. I like NASCAR (#48 Jimmy Johnson). I wish they didn't cancel Enterprise on TV. Battlestar Galactica rules! I watch way too much NASA TV on my computer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1: It is my duty to support radio astonomy as it is the best hope of finding intelligent life using the HO and O "water hole" gap.
2: I wish I could convince more people to join. Only my fellow nerds do it.
3:
A) I think "Contact" should be released on Blue Ray. I think we (SETI) should run a commerical on the DVD to save our project.
B) How do I make a solar powered generator to power my computers during the day?
C) This site should give tips like that (B) and how to build better computers for the mission.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
