Personal background
As a child, I always daydreamed about the possibility of intelligent, extraterrestrial life forms, and still do as an adult. I believe with the amount of planets that exist among the trillions of stars that life must exist elsewhere in the universe.

Yes, extraterrestrial life must exist. It is unthinkable to imagine that this grand universe, which is larger than our minds can comprehend, has only one intelligent life form. What a true waste that would be. For a God to imagine and create such a huge universe without populating it does not make sense.

But, because of the long distances in space and especially in time, the probability of contact is low, at least in my opinion. But if it really happened, it could be great. Aside from technological benefits, it would
alter the point of view of the whole humanity, no longer being the only "intelligent" species.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't have the newest or fastest of computers, but if my contribution helps establish real contact in some way, I will be proud of having participated in SETI@home.
