Personal background
Well, my name is Jason and I live in Barcelona, Catalonia.

For who is uncertain of what is Catalonia, I must say it is not an 'official' country. Our Spanish neighbours like to keep up as a northern region in the Iberic Peninsula but we are much more of a country than Spain it's self.

Apart from this small brief of European culture, I say some things about my self: I work as a systems analyst in a firm in Barcelona. My main interests are focussed on computers and the Internet but I also enjoy sports like sailing and skiing (Barcelona is a great place to sail and it’s about 2 hours away from the Pyrenees where you can enjoy a great day of skiing during the winter).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm sure intelligent extraterrestrial life exists. The question is if we will be able to discover its existence.

What I'm not so sure of is if we will ever be able to communicate with them because sure they will be so far away that too many years will be required to send and get an answer. A shame right?

May be some day we will have some kind of technology that will be capable to moving within space at higher speeds than light speed. That would be very nice.

In the meanwhile I’m sure we could send some beacon signal because may be some other extraterrestrial life might see us and have the technology to answer us back in a short period of time o come her for a visit. That would sure be interesting.

I run and participate on the seti program because the detection of an intelligent extraterrestrial signal would be great news for every one on earth. We would have proof that that we are not alone in the universe and many people would have to change their perspective of the world. I am sure that this day is not so far away.
