Personal background
I started my professional working career right out of high school when I enlisted in the United States Navy. I spent eight great years serving Uncle Sam, working as an Environmental and Egress System Technician (AME). Basically, I worked on ejection seats, oxygen systems, and environmental (air conditioning, etc.) controls on some of the world’s greatest military aircraft. After leaving the Navy in 2001, I was fortunate enough to get another great job as the Service Manager for the local Harley – Davidson dealership. I also assumed the duties as the Parts Manager, Warranty Administrator, and Assistant Operations Manager.

Interestingly enough, actions that I took a few months ago, brought about some very exiting life changes for me. I left the Harley – Davidson dealership to pursue a new career in the steel and recycling industry. I am now serving as an inside sales person, as well as inventory manager for a fairly large steel retailer and recycling company. The name of the organization is Pacific Steel and Recycling, which contains 39 different branches throughout Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and South Dakota. The opportunity presented to me was too good to pass up, so here I am.

As far as hobbies, I enjoy turtles, but I also enjoy motorcycling and anything that I can do outdoors. I also enjoy playing darts on a local dart league.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In my oppinion, SETI@home is a great way to find "something out there" that may in fact change our world as we know it. Looking out into the Cosmos and thinking about all the possiable solar systems I would find it very hard to believe that we are the only planet that is supportive of intelligent life. In fact if it werent for for the small size of Mars and the Greenhouse effect on Venus, we would probably have neighboring civilizations in our solar system. Because of this, I do believe that there is a strong possibility that there is more inteligent life out there in the cosmos. As we sent devices out into space to transmit our life, so must have others. This is why I feel that SETI@home is not only valid but necessary.
