| I was born in Minnesota and grew up in Sleepy Eye. Attended a couple of years at then named Mankato State University, now Minnesota State University Mankato. On my third year in the Air Force, on temporary duty to Japan, I met my future wife. I retired from the Air Force after 20 years and now my family and I are living in my wife's hometown in Japan. I'm a college student again doing distance education with University of Maryland University College Asia Division. I'm working towards a computer information technology degree. My hobbies include building my own computers, RV camping and satellite TV. |

| I know somebody lives out there. I've witnessed it twice. I heard somewhere that if you see a UFO that they are observing you. Well, I was about 13 or so, riding my bike to a friend's house when I saw a slow moving light travelling from east to west in the north sky. I stopped to look and thought it must be an airplane. Right then the light stopped, dropped what I would guess to be serveral hundred feet, stopped and continued on the same slow westerly pace. Another time I was riding in a friend's car on McGuire AFB, NJ. We were traveling a section of road that approaching aircraft routinely fly over. Looking between some tree tops I saw what I thought was an aircraft on approach however it never did. I was wondering what was taking that plane so long. We made a right turn to the building where we worked which put us on the other side of the trees and where I should have a clear view of any aircraft that would be in the vicinity. There was nothing in sight. It would be interesting if they'd stop by for a beer sometime instead of keeping themselves hidden. I think a beacon of some sort could be doable. It should be something low tech and reliable similar to a VOR/TAC identification beacon. Just enough to let someone know we're here. In the mean time I'm glad to give a piece of my computer time for such an important project as SETI. |
