| I'm a British citizen currently living in Kansas, USA with my American wife and our son Conner. I'm a sound technician and/or webdesigner by trade, I enjoy sports, but not American sports, [American] football, baseball and basketball doesn't interest me. I have personally run SETI Classic (as it's now referred to) for many years before BOINC started up. I have gotten my wife hooked on SETI as well, she likes the pretty graphics on the screensaver. And we are both serious sci-fi geeks so SETI is a natural progression for both of us. |

| I run SETI mainly because of my sci-fi interest and firmly believe that there much be intelligent life out there somewhere. It's very arrogant and naive for us to believe that we are the pinnacle of life in the whole universe. Another reason is that my computer if switched on most of the time during the day so it makes sense to use up those unused clock cycles on something rather than wasting them. |
