I am a musician, minister, and computer programmer living in Atlanta, GA. My biggest hobbies are being a COMPLETELY amateur interior decorator, and I am a RABID golf fanatic (I shoot in the upper 80's to mid-90's). Science, astronomy, and "science fiction" (is it really fiction?) have always been on the list of my biggest sidebar fascinations, and my combination of interests usually spark the most conversation since half of my bookshelf is about God, psychology, and mythology while the other half is about anatomy, physics, and theories of the universe. I have a beautiful soulmate in my spouse Patsy, and our only children are of the four-legged variety.

| I only wonder why I did not hear of this sooner! I truly believe it is arrogant to think we are the only celestial body on which intelligent life could have formed. As to when and how our species would meet another, I have no guesses. I can only hope that the first meeting is on God's terms such that both species would be beneficial and amenable to one another. I completely applaud the exploration of such possibilities, hence I am now running the SETI client on as many of my servers as I can get away with! I started off with the Classic Client, but, since I am a programmer and love a little bleeding edge experience every now and then, I decided after 250 Classic SETI WU's to go to BOINC. I also like the idea that BOINC is going to incorporate other projects, and I would love to see Folding@Home move over! |
