Hi, I'm Dragos POPA and I am a young engineer (30 years old) specialized on metal casting (foundry) and constructions. I live in Bucharest (Berceni district), but I vas born (and raised till the age of 6 years) in Transilvania (County Mures).
As hobbies fishing take the first place for me, others are related to the technical part of me.
Most important is Monica, my biggest passion!!! |

What's to say about SETI?
I STRONGLY believe that there are other life forms in this Big Universe, WE ARE NOT ALONE! But the chance of finding some track of intelligence whit these ways are very, very, very minimal?
Responding to the part involving the benefits and dangers to discovering of another race... that's all depending on how we react! I believe that more important is the question: "Are we ready to face this reality?"
Humans have already transmitted beacons onto space (Such as Satellites: Mariner, Pioneer etc) and the information containing on them are very suggestive.
As of the question: "Why do I run SETI@home?"... I am free to hope, free to dream, free to HELP!
