I'm self employed sci-fi junky! I've been running SETI@home since 1999. Started to run Rosetta@home as well in 2006. And actively crunching WCG and GPU Grid in 2009.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it?
Yes. I think we'll find ET in micro organism form in Mars, since we've found evidence of water ice there. As for ETI, hopefully in my life time.
2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
Doubt it's a wise thing to do. What if the one who find the beacon is hostile ETI and much much more advanced than us?
3. Why do you run SETI@home?
The discovery of ETI would change lives on earth, hopefully for the better. |
