Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that there has to be other forms of intelligent life in our Galaxy and in the universe as whole. We cannot be the only ones to inhabit the universe. Planet earth already shows us that life can survive in many different enviroments, from one extreme to another.

When we will discover ET? who knows, it could be today, tomorrow, next year, 50 years time, 1000 years time, a million years time?!
It depends on humans, if we can survive long enough and not blow each other up while we wait for ET to find us.

I think we should transmit a signal....I know we already do with our tv and radio signals but one should be sent that has a message of peace but not to give our location away, just incase ET is hostile. But before we do send a signal, i think planet earth has to sort it's self out first. Get a peaceful earth, without famine and war, then we can send a message and wait for an answer to arrive.

I think SETI@home is a great idea, as it unites people from around the world from different nations. We all have a common goal.....to find that signal, the one that say's Hello! you are not alone in the universe :-)
