I am a married father of two. We live in Northern california. I am 36 years old and a carpenter by trade. I am a avid computer hobbyist and have been interested in the search for Et all of my life. I was delighted when I found out could contribute in some small way, to the Seti project and often encourage others to do the same.
Update 12/2017: I am married with four children. I am 53 years old. I finished my career as a carpenter in 2006. I have been a senior estimator for the last eleven years.
I have a deep understanding of our human relationship with what we call ET. Unfortunately, it can never be rationally/ believably explained to anyone.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think Et exists. Of course or elese why would we look for them.
Do I think we should transmit a beacon to others. I believe in an off hand way we already are with our television and radio transmissions. I do believe however that it would be worth our while to try to transmit a stronger signal.
Update 12/2017
1. I run Seti/Bionic because the subject interests me.
2. I believe one day the data gathered will be useful to humanity.
3. Occasionally let contributors know how they have helped.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
