Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I guess I'd be surprised if "ETI" were out there, and I'd be surprised if it weren't. (Or perhaps, I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were.) Anyway, obviously we have to search if we can.

I think it's terrible that SETI isn't (from what I can tell) funded by any government agencies or educational institutions, especially in light of the paltry resources it requires. It may be a long shot, but the goal is a most worthy one, for science and for humanity generally.
